| Hey y'all! I know this is kinda out of the blue, considering I haven't updated since I left for Colorado Springs. I just thought I owed it to you all to tell you how it went since I asked for you to pray for me!
Colorado is the mose beautiful place on the face of the planet!! It's so green and the weather changes in moments! Colorado Springs especially, since it's at such a high elevation. And a really cool thing was it rained EVERY NIGHT!!! it was soo nice! I love rain--yes, even if you have to walk two miles JUST to get to where you parked your car while it's raining cats and dogs!! and yes, we did that many times. Thank you for all your prayers too! I had a wonderful time, and (don't be too shocked) recieved a silver medal in the Womans three position smallbore competition. It was stressful, not to mention a TON of fun, but I was happy to be home. I was going to show you some pics from the trip, but I get them to upload to save my LIFE! Soo, you will have to believe me that it was a wonderful trip and that I had a ton of fun, and that your prayers were greatly appreciated!
That's all for now...I'm tired, so I'm gonna go take a nap!!
~The long overdue Sarah!

| Well, I'm off! I leave for Colorado Springs and the America Games tomorrow at 5:00 AM. So, be good, don't do anything overly exciting, and I'll see you when I get back!! | | |
| well, I've been informed by a little birdie, that I need to update before I leave you all for almost more than a week. So, here goes! Well, for those of you who don't know, I am going to Colorado Springs to the Olympic training center to shoot competitively in the State Games of America. Here's a link to the web site if any one wants too see: Go Here. Anyhow, I will be gone, starting the 31st of this month or the first of August, and then coming back the 7th of August. Sooo....no updates during that time. sorry! When I get back I hope to have a TON of pictures of the opening ceremonies. Michelle Kwan is going to be lighting the flame and giving a speech (if you know who that is...I had to explain it to my dad.. He was like "Oh, Cool!!.......who's that?" ) Anyway, if you happened to be in Colorado Springs during the 4-6th of August, be sure to stop by! It's going to be really exciting. There's entertainment at the opening ceremonies, and then, (I think) you can go watch people compete. (I'm not sure on that one.....so don't quote me. :D) You can get tickets to the opening ceremonies here. Well, something exciting happened for me this week; I found a new violin to buy!! lol. I know...sounds boring, but I've been looking for a while, and this one has a really good price for a lot of violin. (if you know what I mean...plain English, it's a really good violin, normally priced at $4,300 for only $1,200!! Now THAT is amazing!) But, I haven't played it yet. It's my teachers violin, so that's why I'm getting a good price on it. :) And I also have another violin that a very dear friend wants me to take. I've played her violin, and I really, really like it. I love the tone, and the feel is great, but....the other one is priced higher. I'm going to take it and play it for worship some week and see if anyone notices a difference. So, that's what's happen in the last few weeks. Not much, but it's something. A step up from last week, which was empty. So, here is the much craved update, and hope to see everyone again soon!! ~Sarah | | |
| hey, y'all! Sorry I haven't been updating very often. It's been a crazy few weeks. Anyway, what's been happening in my life... Weeeeeeellll...It turnes out that my dad and I are going to Colorado this August!! We got an invitation to compete in the America Games at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. I was reeeeally freaked out when I found out. I mean, this is a national thing here! I'll be competing against the best of the best. Yikes. HOWEVER...It's going to be fun, no matter how nervous I am. *nods* Tomorrow is our GenJ club meeting. That should be pretty fun. (after the meeting, that is...lol! nooo...it is fun durring the meeting too. ) We were going to have some new ppl coming this time, but they BOTH ended up being out of town this week. I guess it's because of the 4th of July holliday. So, what are you all doing for the 4th? Doing anything special? I think we're going to a friends house for a bbq thiny for our church. So that should be fun. I'm sure we'll be doing some fireworsk, but none of the big, huge ones. Here's an interesting question for you: how does a fly land on the ceiling? does it flip just as it's about to land, or does it actually fly UP TO the ceiling UPSIDE DOWN?....hmm...the oddities of life...lol!
Later!

| I'm going to need some prayer....My parents want me to have a table at the county fair and sell my paintings. yeah....the thing is...I know there are better artists out there, and so why should anyone want to buy MINE?? to me, it doesn't make any sense at all. An outdoor table is $75, and and indoor is $100...so, it is going to cost some money. I'm not too worried about that part. If I do it, I'll probably have landscapes and the like. Oil paintings mostly, and then some pencil drawings, and water colors. They'll probably all be small, gift type things. Nothing real big and fancy. And there's another problem....Frames. It is SOOOOO expensive to get a piece of art framed! So, I would either be building my own, or buying some old ones at antique shows and fixing them up. I DON'T want to use wal- mart frames. that wouldn't sell at all. So you see my predicament. I need to decide pretty soon, so I can get a table in time, and also paint enough to last however long the fair is. So, if you guys could pray for guidance, that would be great. But what do you think? should I do it? Ok...Now for the fun part!! Birthday pics!!!! I had a birthday bbq last saturday, and these are the pics that we took. Hope you enjoy them! Kate, Emy, and Stevie. Kind of a interesting pic, no? Jack thought the food was rather good. Monster cake!! four layers!! Sista's Jack!!! you cheater!!! :glare: I am sooo spoiled.... "Hey! No pictures!!" .....have you noticed something...interesting about all these pictures?....jack seems to be in ALL of them some how..... We had a ton of food. All the kids sitting around after a hard game of basketball Hope you liked 'em! Have a nice day! | | |
